Oh sure, anyone can purchase a Guest Book anywhere and pop it on the table. But why not put some creative thought into the process for a lovely little twist. One of the first things guests do when they arrive is sign the guestbook. Make an impression immediately with your version and why not get folks involved by writing a wish or two.
One lovely idea from Martha Stewart Weddings is to have a sign in, “Scroll.” Weight it down with decorative paper weights so it doesn’t keep curling up.
Wishing Trees are also very popular. Simply find or purchase a small tree and put in a decorative pot. Provide color coordinated cards with ribbons. Each guest can write advice or a wish and hang it on the tree. What a lovely addition to the décor as well.
The tree photo is from www.weddingwindow.com where you can find other clever ideas as well.
Envelope Books are also a cute and easy way to do guest sign in. Simply mount envelopes in a scrapbook or photo album with a glue stick or double sided tape. Guests can take a card to their table, fill it out and then place it in one of the envelopes. Another alternative is to have guests drop their colored cards into a lovely glass bowl.
Here is a really creative twist on guest registry from www.weddingbee.com. Guests write their wishes on a wooden bench that becomes a part of the couples home for years to come.
